## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

RUNWAY 8 AT KHYI, WHILE COMING IN FOR FINAL, STUDENT PILOT AT CONTROLS. UPON SETTING UP FOR FINAL THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT DETERMINED IT WAS A STABLE APPROACH. AFTER A SEMI HARD TOUCHDOWN, THE AIRCRAFT WAS BROUGHT TO A SKIDDING HALT. SOUNDED LIKE METAL ON CONCRETE. THE LEFT WING STARTED TO TIP TOWARDS THE GROUND. THE INSTRUCTOR PILOT MADE INPUTS TO STABILIZE THE AIRCRAFT FROM FURTHER TIPPING. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST TAIL HIGH, NOSE DOWN. THE PROP HAD STRUCK THE GROUND, AND THE NOSE WHEEL TIRE WAS FLAT AND THE RIM WAS GROUND ON THE SIDE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
