## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT OF THIS AIRCRAFT WAS ATTEMPTING TO FLY A LOCAL TRAINING MISSION. THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HE CONDUCTED A NORMAL PREFLIGHT AND TAXI WITH NO MECHANICAL ISSUES NOTED. DURING TAKEOFF ROLL, WHEN THE AIRCRAFT REACHED TAKEOFF SPEED, THE PILOT APPLIED BACK PRESSURE TO THE CONTROL COLUMN, HOWEVER THE CONTROL COLUMN DID NOT MOVE. THE PILOT APPLIED ADDITIONAL BACK PRESSURE AND THE CONTROL COLUMN STILL DID NOT MOVE. THE PILOT ABORTED THE TAKEOFF AND RETURNED THE AIRCRAFT FOR MAINTENANCE EVALUATION. MAINTENANCE INSPECTED THE FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM, AND LUBRICATED AND TORQUED THE CONTROL COLUMN BEARING HALF BLOCKS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
