## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON DECEMBER 22, 2025, A ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, PERFORMING PASSENGER REVENUE FLIGHT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, FROM JOHN F. KENNEDY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (JFK) TO PUNTA CANA (PUJ), PERFORMED AN AIR RETURN DUE TO AN INTERNAL REAR GALLEY CEILING PANEL FALLING ON A SEATED FLIGHT ATTENDANT. FA WAS OCCUPING THE L2 DOOR JUMPSEAT LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE L2 DOOR. THE REGIONAL OPERATION CENTER (ROC) TELEPHONED THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ CMO TO MAKE NOTIFICATION OF THIS EVENT. THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ CMO DISPATCHED TWO AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTORS TO JFK TO INVESTIGATE THIS EVENT. THE ROC FOLLOWED UP WITH A SECOND TELEPHONE CALL TO THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ CMO STATING THAT THE PANEL WAS AN INTERIOR PANEL, THAT A FLIGHT ATTENDANT WAS INJURED AND UPON RETURN TO JFK WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
