## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

12/22/2025 AFTER A FLIGHT, THE PILOT LANDED AND NOTICED SOME ENGINE ROUGHNESS AROUND 1000 TO 1500 RPMS. THE PILOT NOTIFIED MAINTENANCE CONCERNING THIS MATTER.

12/24/2025 WHILE TAXING FROM HIS HANGAR TO THE MAINTENANCE HANGER (FOR MAINTENACE ONLY. NO INTENT TO FLY), THE PILOT HEARD A LOUD EXPLOSION. THE PILOT THEN STEERED PLANE TO A STOP, STEPPED ONTO THE WING AND NOTICED A FIRE UNDER THE COWLING NEAR THE FRONT NOSE WHEEL. THE PILOT NOTIFIED MAINTENANCE. SUBSEQUENTLY MAINTENANCE EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
