ON DECEMBER 30, 2025, AT APPROXIMATELY 1625 CST, THE LANCAIR LEGACY CRASHED IN A FIELD APPROXIMATELY 3.25 MILES NORTHWEST OF TSCHIRHART RANCH AIRPORT (XS01), A PRIVATE AIRPORT. THE LANCAIR HAD DEPARTED FROM GILLESPIE COUNTY AIRPORT (T82). THIS AIRPORT IS 3 MILES SOUTHWEST OF

FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS, WHICH WAS ALSO WHERE THE AIRCRAFT WAS BASED. THERE WAS A SUBSTANTIAL POST IMPACT FIRE, AND THE PILOT SUFFERED A FATAL INJURY.
