## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 01/02/2026 A BEECHRAFT BE-35 REGISTERED TO A ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED WHEN IT WAS DEPARTING A PRIVATE RANCH AIRPORT APPROXIMATELY 7NM NORTH OF RANGER TEXAS. THE ATP RATED PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. THE DEPARTURE RUNWAY 17 SURFACE WAS HARD PACKED DIRT WITH LITTLE VEGITATION. SURFACE WIND AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT WAS REPORTED TO BE MOSTLY WEST-SOUTHWEST AT 10. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON A 041 DEGREE HEADING IN TREES DIRECTLY ADJACENT TO THE EAST SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN26LA077](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN26LA077), Jan 2, 2026: Beech B35 (N5174C), La Casa, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s exceedance of the airplane’s critical angle of attack during initial climb after takeoff, leading to an aerodynamic stall and impact with trees.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
