## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT LANDED AT AN UNPAVED AIRSTRIP, IN THE SNOW, TO THE NORTHEAST. THERE WAS A LAYER OF LOOSE SNOW OVER THE TOP OF GROOMED SNOW, AT A SLIGHT ANGLE RELATIVE TO THE LAYOUT OF THE AIRSTRIP. THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL ENDED UP IN DEEP SNOW AND THE AIRPLANE SLOWLY TIPPED OVER ONTO THE NOSE. THE PROPELLER IMPACTED THE SNOW AS THE AIRPLANE TIPPED OVER. THE PILOT TURNED THE MAGNETOS OFF AS THE PLANE WAS BEGINNING TO TIP ONTO THE NOSE. THE PILOT COMPLETED THE SHUTDOWN AND THEN EGRESSED THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
