## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 01/06/2026 THE UAS WAS FLOWN, SPRAYING 80 ACRES, NEAR THE CITY OF SHREVEPORT, LA. THE OPERATOR OF THE UAS WAS IN THE PROCESS OF OBTAINING THE PART 137 CERTIFICATE. AS OF 02/23/2026 THE OPERATOR WAS NOT CERTIFICATED AS A UAS PART 137 OPERATOR.

IN SPEAKING WITH THE RPIC, HE STATED THE UAS WAS DESTROYED IN FLIGHT BECAUSE THE CIRCUIT BOARDS OVERHEATED, STARTED A FIRE IN WHICH CAUSED THE ELECTRICITY TO STOP GOING TO THE ELECTRIC ENGINES. THE ENGINES STOPPED AND THE UAS CRASHED. NO INJURIES TO ANYONE AND NO DAMAGE TO ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE UAS.

THE MANUFACTURER EXPLAINED IT WAS A MANUFACTURING ERROR AND FIXES WERE ALREADY IMPLEMENTED TO THE EXISTING AIRCRAFT CURRENTLY FLYING. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT FUTURE AIRCRAFT WILL NOT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
