## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE CONDUCTING A TOUCH-AND-GO LANDING AT PRC, THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) INITIATED THE CLIMB-OUT. THE PIC ADVANCED THE THROTTLE, RETRACTED THE FLAPS, AND SELECTED THE LANDING GEAR TO THE UP POSITION. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, THE PIC AND INSTRUMENT INSTRUCTOR HEARD A LOUD BANG, FOLLOWED BY THE PROPELLER STOPPING.

THE PIC ELECTED TO RETURN THE AIRCRAFT TO THE RUNWAY, WHICH RESULTED IN A GEAR-UP LANDING.

INITIAL EXAMINATION REVEALED NO ANOMALIES WITH THE ENGINE CONTROLS, NO EVIDENCE OF OIL LOSS, AND NO OBVIOUS EXTERNAL INDICATIONS OF ENGINE FAILURE. ONE PROPELLER BLADE WAS FOUND FOLDED AND CURLED AFT, WHILE THE OTHER BLADE WAS BENT AFT WITH A FORWARD CURL.

THE INVESTIGATION IS ONGOING. A MEETING WITH THE NTSB AND THE ENGINE MANUFACTURER’S REPRESENTATIVE IS PENDING TO FURTHER EVALUATE THE ENGINE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR26LA078](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR26LA078), Jan 7, 2026: Beech K35 (N6010E), Prescott, AZ, substantial damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
