## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE ON FINAL, 1.5 MILES FROM RUNWAY 33 AT CHENNAULT INTL AIRPORT (KCWF), THE AIRPLANE'S ENGINE FAILED. THE PILOT ATTEMTED AN INFLIGHT ENGINE START BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. UNABLE TO GLIDE TO THE RUNWAY, THE PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT IN A COW PASTURE AND THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING TIP. AFTER LANDING THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE AND TAXIIED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE SOUTHERN EDGE OF THE COW PASTURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
