## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 29, 2026, AIRCRAFT DEPARTED FROM ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MCO) AND EXPERIENCED A BIRD STRIKE DEGRADING THE #2 ENGINE DURING CLIMB OUT AT APPROXIMATELY 1,500’. THE CREW ACCOMPLISHED CHECKLIST, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY, AND RETURNED TO MCO. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUES AND TAXIED TO THE GATE UNDER ITS OWN POWER. A POST-FLIGHT INSPECTION CONFIRMED A BIRD STRIKE TO #2 ENGINE INLET FAN BLADES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
