## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT (A CFI) INITIATED TAKEOFF FROM THE AIRCRAFT RIGHT SEAT WITH INTENT TO REFRESH HIS FLYING SKILLS FROM THAT SEAT. WHEN TAKEOFF POWER WAS APPLIED HIS SEAT SLID AFT ON THE SEAT TRACK TO A POSITION FROM WHICH HE COULD NOT REACH THE PRIMARY FLIGHT CONTROLS OR THE THROTTLE. AIRCRAFT WAS THEN UNCONTROLLED AND EXITED THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY UNDER FULL POWER AND IMPACTED A NEARBY HANGAR DAMAGING THAT HANGAR AND THE AIRCRAFT THAT WAS PARKED THEREIN - IN ADDITION TO SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGING THE PILOT'S CESSNA 172.
