## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DEPARTED DETROIT CITY (DET) AIRPORT FOR ROMEO (D98) AIRPORT. 1 HOUR IN TO THE FLIGHT, AFTER EXECUTING 3 FULL STOP TOUCH AND GO'S, HEADED ON A WESTERLY HEADING AT AN ALTITUDE OF 3,000 FEET. BOTH PILOTS REPORTED LOSS OF ENGINE POWER AND ATTEMPTED 3 RESTARTS WITHOUT SUCCESS. CREW DECLARED EMERGENCY WITH ROMEO AIRPORT AND LANDED ON AN OPEN ROAD ON PRIVATE PROPERTY. VHF RADIO CALL ON 121.5 WAS MADE BY CREW WHEN AIRCRAFT WAS ON GROUND. PIC LANDED AIRCRAFT WITH NO DAMAGE TO LIFE OR PROPERTY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
