## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING IFR TRAINING PERFORMING A PARTIAL LOSS OF POWER, AT 100 FEET MSL, THE STUDENT (PRIVATE) PILOT ADDED POWER FOR A NORMAL RECOVERY AND IMMEDIATELY STRUCK A POWERLINE OVER A RIVER. THE CFI TOOK BACK THE CONTROLS, CLIMBED TO 2000 FEET MSL WITH THE AIRPLANE OPERATING NORMALLY AND INITIATED AN EMERGENCY CALL TO ATC. ANOTHER AIRPLANE WAS IN THE AREA AND THAT PILOT VISUALLY DETERMINED NO DAMAGE TO THE FIXED-LANDING GEAR. THE CFI MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING AND TAXIED TO THE RAMP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
