## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON FEBRUARY 15, 2026, AT APPROXIMATELY 1445 CST, AIRCRAFT N8202R, A BELLANCA MODEL 17-30A, SERIAL NUMBER 30418, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED SHORT OF MCALLEN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MFE). DURING APPROACH, THE ENGINE STOPPED AND DESPITE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO RESTART, ENGINE FAILED TO START. PILOT MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN FIELD APPROXIMATELY 2.5 MILES SOUTHEAST OF MFE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
