## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 02/22/2026, AT APPROXIMATELY 1000 CDT, A 14 CFR PART 105 PARACHUTIST EXITED FROM A JUMP AIRCRAFT AT 13,200 FEET ALTITUDE AND OPENED THE MAIN PARACHUTE. ACCORDING TO MULTIPLE EYEWITNESSES, THE PARACHUTIST WAS OBSERVED MAKING A LOW TURN, AT APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET, AND IMPACTED THE GROUND VERY HARD. THE PARACHUTIST LANDED APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET NORTH OF THE FENTRESS AIRPARK AIRPORT (XS90) DROP ZONE AND ACROSS A FENCE LINE ON ADJACENT PROPERTY. RESPONDERS FROM THE JUMP SCHOOL ARRIVED AT THE UNCONSCIOUS PARACHUTIST ATTEMPTED CPR AND CALLED 911. INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THAT THE AIRCRAFT, PILOT, AND PARACHUTIST'S EQUIPMENT WERE NOT FACTORS IN THE ACCIDENT. THE ACCIDENT WAS DUE TO THE PARACHUTIST MANEUVERING AT VERY LOW ALTITUDE WHICH RESULTED IN AN EXTREMELY HARD IMPACT WITH THE GROUND, CAUSING HIS DEATH DUE TO BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
