## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE INCIDENT AIRCRAFT DEPARTED OLIVE BRANCH AIRPORT, MS (KOLV), WITH A DESTINATION OF TEXARKANA, AR (KTXK). WHILE CROSSING PINE BLUFF, AR AIRPORT (KPBF) AT 7000FT, THE PILOT NOTICED THE OIL PRESSURE WAS DROPPING. THE PILOT CONTINUED TO FLY, MONITORING OIL TEMPERATURE. ON DESCENT INTO KTXK, THE CONSTANT SPEED PROP WENT TO FLAT PITCH. THE AIRCRAFT THEN SHUDDERED, AND THE ENGINE QUIT. OIL COVERED THE WINDSCREEN. ATC DECLARED AN EMERGENCY FOR THE PILOT. THE PILOT LANDED THE AIRCRAFT AT A PRIVATE AIRSTRIP APPROXIMATELY 7 MILES NNE OF RUNWAY 22 AT KTXK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
