## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT 2138, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS ON AN IFR APPROACH TO RWY 9L AND STATED THEY WERE GOING MISSED DUE TO A FAULTY GEAR INDICATION. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ CAME BACK AROUND FOR TWO MORE LOW APPROACHES TO HAVE THE TOWER LOOK AT THE GEAR. BOTH TIMES THE GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THEN CAME BACK AROUND A FOURTH TIME AND LANDED RWY 9L AT 2213. UPON LANDING THE RIGHT MAIN COLLAPSED AND THE RIGHT WING STRUCK THE GROUND CAUSING A SMALL FIRE. FIRE WAS SUPPRESSED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA26LA136](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA26LA136), Mar 4, 2026: Cessna 551 (N228MH), Opa-locka, FL, substantial damage, investigation ongoing

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
