## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 6, 2026 AT 0835 MST, A CESSNA MODEL 182, SINGLE ENGINE AIRPLANE, WAS TAXIING FROM THE HANGERS AT KFLG TO THE RUNWAY FOR DEPARTURE. THE PIC WAS CLEARED TO TAXI TO RUNWAY 21 VIA TAXIWAY ALPHA. NO OTHER INSTRUCTIONS OR WARNINGS WERE GIVEN. THE PIC TAXIED THE AIRCRAFT VIA THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN AND WAS HIT WITH JET BLAST FROM A RUNNING CRJ7 THAT WAS PARKED AT THE TERMINAL. THE CESSNA 182 FLIPPED ONTO ITS ROOF CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. PIC RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES AND PASSENGER WAS UNINJURED. KFLG TOWER ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT THE CRJ7 BUT DID NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. A CALL WAS MADE BY TOWER IN THE BLIND TO THE CRJ7 TELLING THEM TO SHUT DOWN THEIR ENGINES DUE TO AN INCIDENT. THE CRJ7 DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THE CALL BY TOWER. VIDEO SURVEILLANCE WAS REVIEWED AND A PILOT WAS SEEN RUNNING ONTO THE CRJ7 AT WHICH POINT THE ENGINES WERE SHUT DOWN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

Probable cause: Maintenance personnel’s decision to conduct an engine run at takeoff power in front of an active taxiway, and their failure to notify ATC, which resulted in the accident pilot’s loss of control…

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
