## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 08, 2026, A BELLANCA 8KCAB, INCURRED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE DURING THE LANDING ROLLOUT AT THE PERRY STOKES AIRPORT (KTAD). AFTER TOUCHDOWN DURING THE ROLLOUT, THE RIGHT WHEEL AXEL ASSEMBLY SHEARED OFF. THIS RESULTED IN THE RIGHT WHEEL TO LOCK UP, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER RIGHT OFF THE RUNWAY CENTERLINE. APPROXIMATELY 3 FEET FROM THE RUNWAY EDGE, THE RIGHT WHEEL AND BRAKE ASSEMBLY DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT. THIS RESULTED IN THE RIGHT WHEEL STRUT ASSEMBLY DIGGING INTO THE PAVEMENT. THE AIRCRAFT THEN PITCHED NOSE OVER AND CAME TO REST UPSIDE DOWN OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
