## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FACTS: ON MARCH 11, 2026, THE PILOT AND ONE PASSENGER ONBOARD CESSNA CE-T210L, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, DEPARTED BORREGO SPRINGS (L08) AT 0946L FOR CABLE (CCB). BASED ON WRITTEN ACCOUNT OF THE PILOT, AS WELL AS ADS-B POSITION DATA FROM ATO, THE PILOT ATTEMPTED ONE LANDING UNSUCCESSFULLY, RESULTING IN A GO-AROUND. ON THE SECOND APPROACH ATTEMPT, THE PILOT TOUCHED DOWN BEYOND THE FIRST THIRD OF THE AVAILABLE LANDING DISTANCE AT A SPEED IN EXCESS OF THE RECOMMENDED APPROACH SPEED PUBLISHED IN THE AIRCRAFT AFM, WHICH RESULTED IN A LANDING ROLL THAT REQUIRED MORE RUNWAY SURFACE THAN WHAT WAS AVAILABLE AND SUBSEQUENTLY A RUNWAY EXCURSION. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED THROUGH THE RUNWAY OVERRUN AND DROPPED OFF OF AN EMBANKMENT AT THE FAR WEST END OF THE AIRPORT PROPERTY, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO INVERT AND COME TO A REST FLIPPED OVER. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE; NO FATALITIES, PASSENGER REPORTED MINOR INJURIES, AND THE PILOT REPORTED NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR26LA124](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR26LA124), Mar 11, 2026: Cessna T210 (N29138), Upland, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s improper approach, which resulted in a long landing, runway excursion, and a nose over.

## Other reports on N29138 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19801216087619I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19801216087619I), Dec 16, 1980: Cessna T210* (N29138), Fairfield, UT. Forced landing after fuel exhaustion. Fuel gauge gave improper indication.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
