## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT INITIATED THE TAKEOFF ROLL ON RUNWAY 18 WITH A FULL LOAD OF FERTILIZER. WHEN THE TAILWHEEL STARTED TO RISE DURING THE ATTEMPTED TAKEOFF, A CROSSWIND GUST PUSHED THE TAIL OF THE AIRCRAFT TO THE RIGHT. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT WITH THE APPLICATION OF THE RIGHT BRAKE; HOWEVER, THE RIGHT BRAKE WAS SOFT, AND THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY TO THE WEST, COMING TO REST NEAR THE TOP EDGE OF A RAVINE. NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR THE AIRPORT PROPERTY WAS FOUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
