## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT REPORTED A STABLE APPROACH TO RUNWAY 36 AT MO23 AT 70 KNOTS WHILE EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT WIND SHIFTS FROM 250 TO 360 DEGREES AT APPROXIMATELY 5 KNOTS. AFTER TOUCHDOWN, THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A HARD LANDING AND BOUNCED. THE PILOT APPLIED POWER IN AN ATTEMPT TO STABILIZE THE AIRCRAFT, BUT THE NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED, RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR ASSEMBLY, ENGINE FIREWALL, AND PROPELLER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
