AT ~0030 MST, THE PIC AND PASSENGER DEPARTED U42 WITH THE INTENT TO PRACTICE LANDING AT SLC BEFORE RETURNING TO U42. THE AIRCRAFT OPERATED AS EXPECTED AND SIX TOUCH AND GOES WERE PERFORMED UNEVENTFULLY. WHEN THE NOSE LANDING GEAR TOUCHED DOWN ON THE SEVENTH LOOP, THE PIC AND PASSENGER CONFIRMED FEELING THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSE. THE AIRCRAFT IS STILL BEING ASSESSED TO DETERMINE APPROPRIATE ACTION. THIS REPORT WILL BE AMENDED BASED OFF IDENTIFICATION OF FAILED COMPONENT ONCE ASSESSMENT IS COMPLETE.

- [Incident 19881209066689I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19881209066689I), Dec 9, 1988: Piper PA44180T (N8360V), Kalispell, MT, Minor damage. Flying right of centerline to keep visual contact due to icy windshield. Over corrected and landed left of runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
