## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING THE PILOT'S FIRST FLIGHT OF THE YEAR IN THE MOONEY M20F, THE PILOT WAS TAKING OFF AND LANDING AT GREENEVILLE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KGCY) TO MAINTAIN CURRENCY. AFTER THE FIRST TOUCH AND GO, THE PILOT REENTERED THE LANDING PATTERN AND FOCUSED ON SETTING THE THROTTLE AND MANIFOLD PRESSURE. THE PILOT TURNED THE AIRCRAFT TO BASE, AND IGNORED ALL OF THE WARNING SIGNALS GENERATED BY THE AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS. TURNING TO FINAL, THE PILOT FOCUSED ON LANDING THE AIRCRAFT, INSTEAD OF HIS SETTINGS AND SURROUNDINGS. PILOT FREELY ADMITTED THAT HE FAILED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR PRIOR TO LANDING THE AIRCRAFT AT KGCY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
