## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) REPORTED CONDUCTING A FINAL APPROACH TO RUNWAY 35 WITH VARIABLE WINDS FROM 030–040 DEGREES AT 18 KNOTS, GUSTING TO 23 KNOTS. THE PIC STATED THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN ON THE CENTERLINE.

THE PIC REPORTED THAT DURING THE ROLLOUT, WHEN THE TAILWHEEL CONTACTED THE RUNWAY, THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. THE PIC FURTHER REPORTED ATTEMPTING TO CORRECT USING RIGHT AILERON AND LEFT RUDDER INPUTS AND APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE. EVIDENCE OBTAINED DURING THE INVESTIGATION IS CONSISTENT WITH THE PIC'S ACCOUNT. NO CONFLICTING EVIDENCE WAS IDENTIFIED DURING THE INVESTIGATION.

THE PIC REPORTED THAT THE LEFT WING CONTACTED THE GROUND NEAR THE RUNWAY EDGE, THE LEFT LANDING GEAR SEPARATED, AND THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A SUDDEN STOP.

EVIDENCE OBTAINED DURING THE INVESTIGATION IS CONSISTENT WITH THE PIC'S ACCOUNT. NO CONFLICTING EVIDENCE WAS IDENTIFIED DURING THE INVESTIGATION.
