## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CRUISE FLIGHT THE ENGINE STOPPED LOST ALL POWER. PILOT WAS OVER THE OCEAN AT 1300 MSL. SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESTART THE ENGINE. PILOT REPORTS THE ENGINE WAS WIND MILLING BUT NO FUEL PREASURE UNTIL THE ELECTRICAL FUEL PUMP WAS TURNED ON. THE ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DITCHED INTO THE OCEAN. UPON CONTACT WITH THE WATER THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO ESCAPE USING LIFE VESTS TO FLOAT UNTIL RESCUED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC26LA026](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC26LA026), Apr 16, 2026: Cessna U206F (N93021), Juneau, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: A total loss of engine power for reasons that could not be determined because the airplane was not recovered from the ocean.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
