## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 27TH, 2026, AT APPROXIMATELY 1800 PST, AN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ VISION JET EXPERIENCED AN INCIDENT AT SUN RIVER AIRPORT (S21) IN SUNRIVER OREGON. THE AIRCRAFT PERFORMED A NORMAL LANDED ON RUNWAY 18 AND REMAINED ON THE GROUND FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES, DURING WHICH TIME A CAMERA WAS TEMPORARILY INSTALLED ON THE LEFT WING FOR MEDIA PURPOSES. THE AIRCRAFT THEN TAXIED TO RUNWAY 18 TO PERFORM A HIGH-SPEED TAXI WITHOUT ANY INTENT TO TAKE OFF. DURING THIS MANEUVER, AT APPROXIMATELY FULL ROTATION SPEED, THE PILOT REDUCED POWER AND REPORTED TO THE FRONT PASSENGER THAT THE BRAKES WERE NOT FUNCTIONING. DESPITE ATTEMPTS TO PUMP THE BRAKES, THE PASSENGER CONFIRMED THE FAILURE. CONSEQUENTLY, THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED DOWN THE RUNWAY, VEERED OFF TO THE LEFT SIDE INTO THE GRAVEL. IT THEN COLLIDED WITH A METAL BOX MOUNTED ON A CEMENT PAD AND COMING TO REST BEYOND THE RUNWAY'S END. INSPECTION OF THE BRAKES SHOWED HEAT DAMAGE, AND BRAKE PAD DISINTEGRATED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
