## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT ENTERED THE TRAFFIC PATTERN FOR RUNWAY 25 AND WAS ESTABLISHED ON DOWNWIND AT APPROXIMATELY 1,000 FEET AGL, TURNED BASE AT APPROXIMATELY 800 FEET AND CONTINUED TOO FINAL. ON FINAL APPROACH, STUDENT WAS CONFIGURED WITH FULL FLAPS, MAINTAINING APPROXIMATELY 65 KNOTS AND 1,100 RPM. THE APPROACH WAS STABLE.

DURING THE LANDING PHASE, THE AIRCRAFT STALLED, RESULTING IN A HARD LANDING. FOLLOWING THE INCIDENT THE STUDENT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY WITH ATC. THE STUDENT WAS NOT INJURED AND HAD NOT OBSERVED ANY SMOKE OR FIRE BUT DID NOTICE FUEL LEAKING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
