## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CRUISE AT 3000 FEET, THE CREW ENCOUNTERED A FLOCK OF GEESE AND FELT A SLIGHT THUMP. THE PILOT MAINTAINED CONTROL.

A VISUAL INSPECTION WAS CONDUCTED BY THE OTHER CREWMEMBERS THROUGH THE WINDOWS DURING THE FLIGHT AND NO VISIBLE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINES AND WINGS WAS NOTED.

THE PILOT SAID THE CONTROLS OPERATED NORMALLY, AND ENGINE AND AIRCRAFT INDICATIONS WERE STANDARD.

THE CREW CLIMBED TO 3,500 FEET, SECURED AN IFR CLEARANCE, AND RETURNED TO FAIRBANKS.

THE AIRCRAFT OPERATED NORMALLY FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE FLIGHT.

LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.

POST-FLIGHT INSPECTION FOUND IMPACT DAMAGE ON THE RIGHT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC26LA038](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC26LA038), May 5, 2026: Textron B300C (N67RF), Salcha, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: An in-flight collision with a bird during cruise flight.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
