## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 10, 2026, A CESSNA 150 DEPARTED SUPERIOR MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (E81). SHORTLY AFTER DEPARTURE, THE AIRCRAFT CONDUCTED AN OFF-AIRPORT LANDING ON HIGHWAY 60 NEAR MILEPOST 225.

DURING THE LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A HIGHWAY SIGN AND A PICKUP TRUCK. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. ONE PERSON WAS ONBOARD THE AIRCRAFT. NO GROUND INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR26LA179](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR26LA179), May 10, 2026: Cessna A150L (N6067J), Superior, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to retract the flaps during takeoff following a touch-and-go landing, which resulted in degraded climb performance and an impact with an object during an off-field landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
