## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRCRAFT CRASHED INTO A UTILITY POLE AFTER MAKING AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON A STREET IN TUCSON, AZ, JUST OUTSIDE OF TUS AIRPORT. THE COLLISION WITH THE POLE CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT'S PROPELLER AND ENGINE. THE EMERGENCY LANDING WAS NECESSITATED BY A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. DURING THE INVESTIGATION, THE PILOT INDICATED THAT HE EXPECTED TO HAVE 7.5 GALLONS OF FUEL UPON LANDING; HOWEVER, ONLY ONE-THIRD OF A GALLON WAS RECOVERED FROM THE AIRCRAFT, AND NONE OF THE THREE FUEL TANKS SHOWED SIGNS OF DAMAGE OR LEAKAGE. THE PILOT ALSO NOTED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SIGHT GAUGE READS EMPTY DURING FLIGHT, PREVENTING ACCURATE FUEL LEVEL MONITORING WHILE AIRBORNE.
