## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT TAXIED FROM THE AIR CARRIER'S HANGER TO RUNWAY 9. AFTER CLEARING RUNWAY 9 AND DURING POWER UP THE LEFT BRAKE LOCKED AND THE PILOT OVERSTEERED THE PLANE OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE RIGHT (NOSE POINTING SOUTH). THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY DAMAGE AND WAS TOWED BACK TO THE AIR CARRIER'S HANGER. MAINTENANCE INSPECTION OF THE BRAKING SYSTEM DEDUCED THAT THE BRAKE LININGS WERE TOO THIN AND THE PADS BECAME LODGED AGAINST THE ROTOR LOCKING IT INTO PLACE. LEFT OUTBOARD TIRE SHOWS FLAT SPOTTING COINCIDING WITH A LOCKED WHEEL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
