## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE ENROUTE FROM ERIE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ERI) TO LYNDEN PINDLING INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (NAS) AT FLIGHT LEVEL 310, THE LEFT ENGINE N1 AND N2 INDICATIONS BECAME ERRATIC. THE N1 GAUGE EXCEEDED FLIGHT MANUAL LIMITATIONS AND SPIKED TO 101% WHILE FLUCTUATING RAPIDLY. THE N2 GAUGE WAS ALSO FLUCTUATING RAPIDLY AND ULTIMATELY FAILED AT 0%. THE INTERSTAGE TURBINE TEMPERATURE (ITT) AND ENGINE OIL PRESSURE FUNCTIONED NORMALLY. THE FLIGHT CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED AT RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (RIC). MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL INSPECTED THE LEFT ENGINE AND DISCOVERED THE ALTERNATOR ROTOR AND STATOR TO BE DISCREPANT. THE ALTERNATOR ROTOR AND STATOR WERE REPLACED AND SUBSEQUENT OPERATIONS CHECK WAS FOUND TO BE SATISFACTORY. AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. NO FURTHER ISSUES WERE NOTED. A SERVICE DIFFICULTY REPORT HAS BEEN FILED BY THE CERTIFICATE HOLDER AS REQUIRED PER CFR 135.415.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
