## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS TAXIING INTO THE RWY15 HOLDBAY AND THEIR LEFT WING MADE CONTACT WITH A BLAST WALL AT 1650Z.

ENY4178 DID NOT NEED ANY IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE OTHER THAN A TUG TO RELOCATE THEM TO GATE C23. METROPOLITAN WASHINGTON AIRPORT AUTHORITY (MWAA/AIRPORT OPERATIONS) RESPONDED AND COORDINATED TO HAVE A TUG RELOCATE THE AIRCRAFT. AIRPORT OPERATIONS REPORTED THERE WAS SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE TOP OF THE LEFT WINGLET. AMERICAN AIRLINES OPERATIONS CONFIRMED THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND CHARACTERIZED THE DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WINGLET AS MINOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
