## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT PERFORMED A NORMAL APPROACH TO LANDING AND REPORTS SEEING INDICATIONS THAT THE LANDING GEAR WAS DEPLOYED VIA GREEN INDICATOR LIGHT IN THE COCKPIT, AND THE PILOT SAW THE NOSEWHEEL IN A MIRROR MOUNTED TO THE LEFT WINGTIP FUEL TANK. IMMEDIATELY AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE LANDING GEAR FAILED TO SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF THE PLANE AND COLLAPSED BACK INTO THE PLANE. THE ENGINES WERE STOPPED WHEN THE PROPELLERS IMPACTED THE RUNWAY AND THE AIRPLANE CAME TO REST ON THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
