## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PIC STATED THAT AFTER ALL THE PARACHUTISTS JUMPED / EXITED THE AIRPLANE, HE PROCEEDED BACK TO THE DEPARTURE AIRPORT. ON THE DOWNWIND LEG OF THE AIRPORT TRAFFIC PATTERN, PIC OBSERVED A PARACHUTIST IN THE AREA. WHILE MANEUVERING THE AIRPLANE TO AVOID THE PARACHUTIST, PIC WAS DISTRACTED AND THE AIRPLANE DESCENDED AND IMPACTED TERRAIN NEAR THE THRESHOLD OF THE APPROACHED END OF THE AIRPORT RUNWAY. PIC ALSO STATED THAT THERE WERE NO MECHANICAL FAILURES OR MALFUNCTIONS WITH THE AIRFRAME OR ENGINE THAT WOULD HAVE PRECLUDED NORMAL OPERATION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
