## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 06/15/2026 INCIDENT AIRCRAFT WAS INBOUND TO KJXN FOR PRACTICE INSTRUMENT APPROACHES ON AN INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT TO RUNWAY 25; INCIDENT AIRCRAFT WAS ISSUED A CLEARANCE FOR THE RNAV 25 APPROACH WITH MISSED APPROACH INSTRUCTIONS. INCIDENT AIRCRAFT REPORTED TO ATC THE ALTERNATOR 2 WAS LOST AND WERE SMELLING FUMES INDICATIVE TO BURNING RUBBER SMELLS INSIDE THE COCKPIT. THE PILOT REQUESTED TO LAND RUNWAY 07, PILOT REQUESTED EMS TO MEET THEM AT AIRCRAFT DUE TO FUMES IN COCKPIT. LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.

MAINTENANCE DETERMINED ALTERNATOR SEIZED, PULLEY AND BELT SHEARED. BELT WAS FOUND IN PIECES IN BOTTOM OF COWLING. ALTERNATOR 2 PULLEY HAD PIECES BROKEN OUT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
