## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 06/19/2026 THE WICHITA FSDO WAS NOTIFIED OF A POSSIBLE INCIDENT OCCURRING AT AUGUSTA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (3AU). A CESSNA 172-S MODEL SINGLE ENGINE LAND AIRCRAFT WITH A CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR AND A STUDENT PILOT ON BOARD WAS CONDUCTING LANDING PRACTICE AT 3AU. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 18 TAXIED OFF ONTO TAXIWAY A2. DURING THE TAXI BACK ON TAXIWAY A TO THE APPROACH END OF RUNWAY 18 FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR NOTICED THE STUDENT PILOT TAXIING TOO QUICKLY AND INSTRUCTED THE REDUCTION OF POWER AND TO APPLY BRAKES. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE TAXI WAY INTO THE GRASS TO THE RIGHT CONTACTING TAXIWAY LIGHT AND TWO AIRPORT SIGNS. MINIMAL SCRAPPING TO THE RIGHT LOWER COWLING, DENTING ON THE LEFT MAIN, AND SCRAPPING ON BOTH PROPELLER BLADES OCCURRED TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
