## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING AN ENGINE BREAK-IN, DENNIS WYZA, WHILE PILOTING ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN RIGHT WING DROP WHEN EXTENDING FULL FLAPS DURING LANDING AND EXECUTED A GO-AROUND WHILE DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. MR. WYZA WAS GIVEN HANDLING PRIORITY AND AUTHORITY TO LAND WHATEVER RUNWAY WAS BEST SUITED. MR. WYZA REPORTED DIFFICULTY TURNING RIGHT AND ELECTED TO TURN LEFT TO CIRCLE FOR RUNWAY 13. MR WYZA EXECUTED A HARD LANDING AND VEERED OFF THE RUNWAY TO THE LEFT FOR ANOTHER 600-800 FEET THROUGH GRASS AND TAXIWAY B BEFORE STOPPING DUE TO COLLISION WITH A FENCE.

DURING A POST FLIGHT MAINTENANCE INSPECTION, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS NO MECHANICAL MALFUNCTION THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A LOSS OF CONTROL. THE PLANE HAD BEEN FITTED WITH A STOL KIT AND MODIFIED STALL SPEEDS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
