## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 07/01/2026 ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, A MOONEY M20T, VEERED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF RWY 17R DURING LANDING ROLLOUT AT DAVID WAYNE HOOKS AIRPORT. UPON INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT BY THE HOUSTON FSDO IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE NOSE LANDING GEAR LEG ASSEMBLY HAD A BOLT SHEARED OFF AND ALSO DAMAGE TO THE STEERING ASSEMBLY TUBING INDICATIVE OF REPETITIVE FORCED OVER STEERING/TOWING STRIKES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
