## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 9, 2026, THE PILOT OF A VANS RV-6A, REGISTRATION ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WAS CONDUCTING A FLIGHT FROM MALONE, NY, TO MORRISVILLE-STOWE STATE AIRPORT (MVL). DURING THE INITIAL TOUCHDOWN ON RUNWAY 01, THE PILOT REPORTED THE AIRCRAFT VEERED SHARPLY TO THE LEFT, ACCOMPANIED BY A SOUND CONSISTENT WITH A BLOWN TIRE. THE PILOT ADDED POWER AND EXECUTED A GO-AROUND. DURING THE SECOND APPROACH, THE PILOT ALIGNED TO THE RIGHT OF THE CENTERLINE TO COMPENSATE FOR ANTICIPATED DIRECTIONAL CONTROL ISSUES AND SUCCESSFULLY MAINTAINED THE AIRCRAFT ON THE RUNWAY AFTER LANDING. A POST-FLIGHT INSPECTION REVEALED A FLAT LEFT MAIN TIRE, A DENT ON THE LEFT WING FLAP AND SEVERAL DENTS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE LEFT WING. AIRPORT PERSONNEL CONFIRMED A BROKEN RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT ON RUNWAY 01. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED FROM THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT REPORTED NO TIRE ANOMALIES DURING THE PRE-FLIGHT INSPECTION AND NOTED THE LEFT TIRE AND TUBE WERE INSTALLED IN MAY 2025.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
