## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT SELECTED LANDING GEAR DOWN, A LOUD BANG WAS HEARD. A GREEN LANDING GEAR INDICATOR LIGHT FOLLOWED INDICATING THE GEAR MOTOR WAS ON THE "DOWN" LIMIT SWITCH. HOWEVER, IN THE MIRRORS ON ENGINE NACELLES, BOTH PILOTS OBSERVED NOSE LANDING GEAR WAS ONLY PARTIALLY EXTENDED AND SWINGING FREELY, INDICATING THE NOSE GEAR WAS NOT DOWN AND LOCKED. PILOT CONTACTED AIRPORT PESONNEL AND PLANNED TO FLY THE RNAV 05 TO CONFIRM HIS SUSPECISION. COMPLETING THIS APPROACH IT WAS CONFIRMED THE NOSE GEAR WAS PARTIALLY EXTENDED WHILE THE MAIN GEAR WERE DOWN AND LOCKED. PILOT WAS DECIDED TO LAND WITH THE MAIN GEAR DOWN AND ALLOWING THE NOSE GEAR TO SETTLE AS SOFTLY AS POSSIBLE. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. NO INJURIES NOTED AND NO DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR POST CRASH FIRE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
