## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WITH ONE PASSENGER TOOK A LANDING APPROACH DIRECTLY INTO THE WIND ON A LAKE WITH HIS AMPHIBIOUS AIRCRAFT. THE WATER LANDING CHECKLIST WAS RUN TWICE BEFORE FINAL APPROACH. AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE AIRCRAFT INVERTED OVER ITS NOSE. THE PASSENGER EGRESSED FIRST FOLLOWED BY THE PILOT. THE PASSENGER WAS UNINJURED AND THE PILOT SUSTAINED MINOR ABRASIONS DURING EGRESS. A NEARBY PONTOON BROUGHT THE PILOT AND PASSENGER TO A DOCK. POST-INCIDENT PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW THE AIRCRAFT’S LANDING GEAR EXTENDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
