## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT HE NOTICED A REDUCTION IN CRUISE SPEED AFTER HEARING AND FEELING A CLUNK. PILOT NOTICED THE GEAR WARNING LIGHT AND BEGAN TO DIVERT TO THE NEAREST AIRPORT. ATC DIRECTED HIM TO THE ARKADELPHIA, AR AIRPORT (ADF). HE MADE THE APPROACH TO THE ARKADELPHIA, AR AIRPORT (ADF) RUNWAY 4. THE NOSE GEAR WAS DOWN AND LOCKED WITH THE MAIN GEAR DANGLING. AFTER NOSE GEAR CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY, AS HE SLOWED, HE WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED LEFT TO THE GRASS BETWEEN THE RUNWAY AND THE TAXI WAY WHERE IT CAME TO REST. THE AIRCRAFT SUFFERED A BENT LEFT STABILIZER AND ELEVATOR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
