## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON AUGUST 2, 2026, PRIVATE PILOT BRYSON BOXELL COMPLETED A FLIGHT AT MOUNT HAWLEY AUXILIARY AIRPORT (3MY) AND ATTEMPTED TO PARK A CESSNA 172 ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ IN A TIE-DOWN SPOT ADJACENT TO A RAMP LIGHT POLE AND PERIMETER FENCE. WHILE EXECUTING A RIGHT TURN TO POSITION THE AIRCRAFT, THE AIRPLANE STRUCK THE LIGHT POLE. THE IMPACT SPUN THE AIRCRAFT TO THE LEFT, CAUSING IT TO COLLIDE WITH THE FENCE. THE ACCIDENT RESULTED IN A PROPELLER STRIKE AND STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
