## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 08/09/2026 AT APPROXIMATELY 19:00 EST. THE ACCIDENT AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 18 AT MORGANTOWN, WV (KMGW). THE AIRCRAFT EXITED THE RUNWAY ON TAXIWAY CHARLIE, CROSSED THE HOLD LINE, AND CAME TO A STOP PER ATC TOWER INSTRUCTIONS. WHILE STOPPED AND PERFORMING THE AFTER-LANDING CHECKLIST, THE AIRCRAFT WAS HIT IN THE TAIL BY A FUEL TRUCK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA26LA297](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA26LA297), Aug 9, 2026: Cessna 172N (N6175G), Morgantown, WV, substantial damage. Probable cause: The fuel truck driver’s distraction and inadequate visual lookout, which resulted in a collision with an airplane.

## Other reports on N6175G (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19920807038009I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19920807038009I), Aug 7, 1992: Cessna 172N (N6175G), Topeka, KS. Pilot landed at wrong airport. Conflicting hand-off information by ATC was contributing factor.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
