## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CRUISE, APPROX. 45 MINUTES INTO FLIGHT THE FLIGHT CREW RECEIVED REPETITIVE "GND SPOILER FAIL" EICAS MESSAGE AND FLIGHT CONTROL MFS 3 ADVISORY. BOTH MESSAGES CYCLED ON/OFF EVERY 15 SECONDS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE FLIGHT. NO SPEED VARIATIONS OR ABNORMAL AIRCRAFT BEHAVIOUR WAS FELT, A VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE SPOILERS CONFIRMED THEY WERE STOWED. FLIGHT CREW WAS IN CONTACT WITH MOC TO TROUBLESHOOT ISSUES.

DISPATCH, CHIEF PILOT, FLIGHT CREW AND MAINTENANCE WERE ALL OKAY WITH FLIGHT CONTINUING TO SAN. FLIGHT CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY WITH ATC IN THE EVENT THAT THE SPOILERS DID NOT DEPLOY ON LANDING. CABIN CREW AND PASSENGERS WERE BRIEFED.

FLIGHT LANDED SAFELY AND WITHOUT INCIDENT IN SAN, MET BY ARFF AS A PRECAUTION.

MAINTENANCE ADVISED THEY CONDUCTED AN AIRCRAFT POWER CYCLE WHICH CLEARED THE WARNINGS. NO REOCCURRENCES REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
