## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2026, AT 14:15 AKDT, A PIPER PA-12 SUPER CRUISER WAS INVOLVED IN A GROUND COLLISION WITH A LIGHT POLE AT BCV AIRPORT IN BIRCHWOOD, ALASKA.

THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIING ACROSS THE AIRPORT WITH ONE PERSON ON BOARD AND NO INTENT TO FLY. AS THE AIRPLANE WAS BEING RELOCATED ACROSS THE FIELD, WHILE MAKING A TURN DURING TAXI, THE AIRCRAFT'S RIGHT WING STRUCK A LIGHT POLE IN THE AIRCRAFT PARKING AREA.

THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED, THOUGH THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO ITS RIGHT WING. BECAUSE THE MOVEMENT OCCURRED WITHOUT ANY INTENT FOR FLIGHT, THIS EVENT IS CATEGORIZED AS AN INCIDENT.

THE FAA INSPECTOR RECEIVED NO RESPONSE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT THE LISTED OWNER. AS A RESULT, THIS REPORT WAS COMPILED WITHOUT A STATEMENT OR PARTICIPATION FROM THE AIRCRAFT OPERATOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
