## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 27, 2026, AT 1235 CDT, A ROBINSON R-44 HELICOPTER BEARING REGISTRATION NUMBER ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, REGISTERED TO A CORPORATION, STRUCK A WIRE ON A PRIVATE RANCH WHILE HUNTING. THE HELICOPTER LANDED, AND THEN DEPARTED DUE TO A BRUSH FIRE IGNITED BY THE BROKEN POWER LINE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FLOWN FOR APPROXIMATELY 4 MILES, AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY ON ITS TRAILER. THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED ON AN AIR TOUR FLIGHT FOR THE PURPOSE OF HUNTING. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE, AND THE PILOT AND 2 PASSENGERS SUSTAINED NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
